Cooking time : 2 minutes

Ingredients

Banana Yogurt Bowl

  • 3 tbsp of plain Greek Yogurt
  • 1 small ripe banana (peel and slice) or half big banana
  • 1/4 tsp of organic vanilla essence
  • 1/2 tbsp of organic chia seeds
  • 2 tbsp of chocolate granola (or granola + dark chocolate chips)
  • 1/2 cup of blue berries (washed and dried)
  • a little bit of pure honey (optional)

Mixed Berries Yogurt Bowl

  • 3 tbsp of plain Greek Yogurt
  • 1/4 tsp of organic vanilla essence
  • 1 .5 cups of blue berries (for the puree and topping)
  • 5 strawberries (washed, dried and halved)
  • 1/2 cup of raspberries (washed and dried)
  • 2 tbsp of granola
  • a little bit of pure honey (optional)

Instructions

Put 3 table spoons of organic plain Greek yogurt in a bowl. The yogurt should be plain (without any added flavour or sugar). I use Greek yogurt not Greek style natural yogurt. Greek yogurt is very smooth. Some Greek style natural yogurt taste a bit sour for me.

Add 1/4 tea spoon of natural vanilla essence to the yogurt. Make sure you check the ingredients when you buy the vanilla essence. There are many artificial vanilla essence in the market.

Mix it up.

Then place some sliced banana on the yogurt.

Sprinkle some organic chia seeds on top.

Add the chocolate granola. You could also use other granola and add some dark chocolate chips.

Put the blue berries on.

Squeeze some pure honey on top at the end, but honey is optional. This chocolate banana granola yogurt bowl is one of my son’s favourite breakfasts. My little girl prefers the mixed berries granola yogurt bowl.

Put 3 table spoons of plain Greek yogurt in a bowl.

Add 1/4 tea spoon of natural vanilla essence in.

Put a cup of blue berries in the blender to make some puree. No need to add any flavours. Then add the blue berry puree in the bowl and mix with the yogurt and vanilla essence.

Then start to put the toppings on. I bought some mixed berries granola this time, but any organic low sugar granola would do.

Place the halved strawberries on one side. I normally cut the strawberries into smaller pieces for my 3 year-old daughter.

Put the raspberries in the middle.

And add some blue berries.

These breakfast bowls are easy, delicious and nutritious. Great breakfast ideas for school days! Hope you and your little ones would like them. 🙂
