These baked beans and ham toasties are crunchy and tasty. Toasties are so easy to make and delicious, they are great breakfast ideas for students. You could add some chilly flakes or tabasco inside too.
Serves : 1 serving
Preparation Time : 5 minutes
Cooking Time : 10 minutes
Ingredients
- 2 slices of brown bread
- 2 slices of black pepper ham
- 2 tbsp of baked beans
- 2 tbsp of grated cheddar cheese or 1 slice of sliced Cheddar
- about 15g of unsalted butter (cut into small cubes)
Instructions

Cut off the crust of two slices of brown bread.

Cut two slices of ham diagonally to get four triangular shaped ham.

Turn on the toasties maker, put a small cube of butter on it. Brush the melted butter all over the inside of the toasties maker.

Lay one slice of bread on the toasties maker, then put one layer of ham on top of the bread and leave a gap between the two pieces of triangular ham.

Put 1tbsp of baked beans on the ham. I used black pepper ham this time. If I used normal ham, I would put a little bit of black pepper on the baked beans. Then put all the grated cheddar on the baked beans. Put one more layer of ham on the cheese and cover with another piece of bread.

Close the toasties maker and let it cook for about 5 minutes.

Open the toasties maker and brush the toasties with more butter and close it again.

Cook for another 3 minutes. The toasties would be golden brown and crispy.
