Oatmeal may be a bit too plain, but it is very nutritious. I tried to add fruits, nuts, spices and honey to make it really tasty. Now, oatmeal is on our family breakfast menu!
Serves : 2~3 bowls
Preparation time : 10 minutes
Cooking time : 10 minutes

- 3 cups of water
- 3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1 pear
- 2 tbsp cooked quinoa
- a pinch of salt
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- a dash of honey
Serve:
- 1/4 cup plain walnuts

Instructions
Cook the quinoa according to the instructions on the package and set aside. Peel and dice the pear and set aside.
Roast the plain walnuts in a dry pan and chopped into small pieces and set aside.
Put one cup of rolled oats, a pinch of salt and add 3 cups of water in a pot. Turn on the heat and bring it to the boil.
Turn down to low heat and keep stirring in one direction until the oatmeal is thick and smooth. That would take about 5 minutes.
Add cooked quinoa, diced pear, a dash of honey, ground cinnamon and almond milk. Then keep stirring in one direction to bring it to the boil again.
