Grilled Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwich

I used chia seeds natural peanut butter to make this grilled banana peanut butter sandwich, so it is delicious and nutritious. It is a great breakfast recipe for kids and active adults.

Cooking Time: 5 minutes


Ingredients

  • 2 slices of brown bread with seeds
  • 2 tbsp of no added sugar natural peanut butter with chia seeds
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 tbsp of 60% dark chocolate chips
  • about 15g of unsalted butter (cut into 2 or 3 cubes)

Instructions

Banana peanut butter sandwich ingredients are sliced banana, two pieces of brown bread, peanut butter and dark chocolate chips

Peel and slice a banana into 5 mm thick slices

Spreading peanut butter on the brown bread

Spread 1 table spoon of chia seed peanut butter on each pieces of brown bread.

Put banana slices on one of the sliced brown bread.



Put dark chocolate chips on top of the sliced banana

Then scatter the dark chocolate chips on top of the banana slices.

Cover the fillings with the other slice of brown bread with peanut butter and press the sandwich slightly

Use another piece of brown bread to cover the fillings.

Put the sandwich into a pan with melted butter

Heat up a pan and put a knob of butter in. Put the sandwich in the melted butter and brown it slowly in medium low heat.

Move the sandwich around the pan to absorb all the melted butter.

The sandwich is crunchy and golden brown on both sides

Flip the sandwich when one side is brown. Put the other knob of butter in the pan and move the sandwich around to absorb the melted butter. Brown the other side of the sandwich in low heat until it is golden brown and the banana slices are warmed.
